Can I Still Use Internet Explorer?
Can I still use Internet Explorer? Some of us have been using it for what seems like forever but the long-standing browser celebrated its 20th birthday in August and some have since questioned whether it is out-of-date.
Whilst Microsoft brought out their new Edge browser earlier this year, they are now advising Windows users to update their browsers as some versions of Internet Explorer will be no longer be supported.
From January 12th 2016, only the newest version of IE available in each operating system will be supported.
Because Windows Vista is unable to run anything more recent than Internet Explorer 9, this will be supported for users on that OS.
However, this new policy does mean the end of IE 10 for desktop users. Because Windows 7 is able to run IE 11, and Vista can only run IE 9, it means that IE 10 will not be supported for any Windows machines, other than Server 2012.
