Tips & Tricks: How to Set Up Exchange Emails on iPhone

If you’ve got an iPhone and you want to sync your work emails, it requires some setting up.  Here’s how to do it.

How to Set Up Exchange Emails on iPhone

If this is the first email account you’re setting up on the iPhone, tap Mail from your home screen. If you’ve previously added a different email account you’ll have to navigate from the Home screen to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Accounts and then choose Add Account.

Next you’ll need to select which type of email account you will be connecting to – in this instance it will be the Microsoft Exchange option that you will need to select.

Setting up your Exchange account information

First you’ll need to enter your email address and password. If you want to differentiate the account from other mail accounts you have already set up, you can also enter an account description, which is a custom field.

Your iPhone will then try to connect to your Exchange Server.  At this stage you may be required to enter some additional server information. This article will help you find this information, or for existing Online Support Mobile and IT customers you can contact us or call on 0208 232 1190.

Syncing your content

You can choose to sync your account’s Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes which are all held on your exchange server. When you’re finished, tap Save.
