Service Overview:

With our service nightly copies of all your data are encrypted and then transmitted over the Internet to our Data Centre in Brentford. The advantages of this system include:

	Reliable Online backups are more secure and reliable than traditional tape backup systems which need constant maintenance to keep them running successfully.
	Available No matter what happens to your servers or offices, an up-to-date and complete copy of your data is securely stored off-site.
	Secure  We employ the very latest encryption technology and best practice security procedures to ensue your data is secure and protected at all times, including: SSL transmission protocol, with1024 bit RSA key exchange, 128 bit RC4 stream cipher and SHA-1 integrity checking. All data is stored using 448-bit encryption with account encryption keys stored separately.

How it Works:

At current Internet access speeds it is not possible to send a complete copy of your data every night. So initially an engineer will visit your offices and use an external hard drive to take the 1st backup of your data. From then onwards every night the backup software only transmits the incremental changes to your data across the Internet. Those changes are then added to the original backup to create a complete copy of your current data. 

Our backup system keeps a copy of your backups going back to the beginning of the previous month, so that you can retrieve data from any day in both the previous and existing calendar month. 

Additional Options:

	For those companies who require it, we can provide month end backup tapes containing a complete backup of your data as of the last day of that month; and for extra security and resilience we can also mirror your backups to a 2nd secure data centre.
	For complete peace of mind we also offer a backup monitoring service where we check your backups everyday to make sure that they are 100% successful at all times.
