Remote Desktop

Remote Desktop is an application built into Windows that allows you to remotely connect to your office PC over the internet, with a user experience that is indistinguishable from sitting at your desk.

  • Remote Desktop

The computer from which you are connecting becomes, in effect, a dumb terminal, displaying exactly the same user environment and providing access to the same applications you would have were you sitting at your office PC; almost as if you had an extension cable from your office PC to the keyboard mouse and screen in front of you.

Utilising Remote Desktop, data processing is undertaken on the hard drive of the PC in your office, so the only data that is being transmitted over the Internet is the Keyboard commands and the data being displayed on the monitor. As a result, Remote Desktop is extremely fast, with the user experiencing virtually no delays whilst working.

  • Terminal Services

For those people who take their laptop out of the office or other staff members who don't have an office based PC, we can install a Terminal Server. A Terminal Server is configured to act as a remote desktop PC for multiple users, all of whom can access it concurrently.

We can configure access to your office network so that everyone who needs it can connect to their office PC via remote desktop.
