Piaggio's existing phone contract was giving them high mobile phone costs with no data allowance. After Online support installed a new Small business Server they were made aware of the functionality for roaming email via Mobile 6 devices.

Online Support renewed the telephone contract, fixed the monthly charges with inclusive minutes to cover the predicted call volume. We supplied Windows Mobile 6 devices to all users providing unlimited data at a fixed cost to get email on the move. Certain users were required to connect to a Blackberry Enterprise Server in Italy. They were supplied with Blackberry handsets with unlimited data at a fixed cost.

Email on the move has enabled Piaggio to increase business productivity. It has allowed them to maintain a flow of email communication while users are out of the office.

Cost: 

The monthly cost for Piggio was reduced by 60% with an increase in services over their existing phone contract. This included all users having Mobile 6 devices and unlimited data packages.

Flexibility: 

Due to the consolidation and integration with Small Business Server network Piaggio can easily add office or geographically distributed staff to their communications infrastructure.
