Lucid were looking for a professional low cost IT solution that would allow for geographically distributed staff to have access to email and data stored in a central location.

Online Support specified and installed a Microsoft Small Business Server. This provided Lucid with the ability for remote workers to have full access to emails and server data when on the road. This is delivered though a combination of the following technologies included as part of the Small Business Server standard package:

	Outlook over RPC.
	Webmail.
	A remote connection to office PC's though a web interface accessible from any PC with an internet connection.
	Support for Mobile 5/6 devices and Blackberries
	Support for multiple mailboxes or single mailbox with multiple addresses.
	Secure FTP access for clients and staff.
	Centralised backup of company data.
	Centrally managed anti-virus.
	Virus scanning at internet level of all emails before they reach the network.

Process Efficiencies:

Lucid produce design material that require centralised storage. The new server provided this allowing business expansion.

Cost Efficiencies: 

As an accredited Microsoft Gold Partner we were able to employ technologies that facilitated the transfer of the previous network architecture onto the new server environment, reducing the cost of creating a net network from scratch.

Flexibility: 

With the Small Business Server installed, Lucid now have the flexibility and scalability in their IT infrastructure to support their growth plans without incurring additional cost or impairing performance.
